Admissions Procedure

In compliance with the Maryland State Department of Education’s requirement for age of eligibility for enrollment, all students must be 4 years old by September 1^st of the school year to be age eligible to enroll in the Pre-Kindergarten program at TJP.    

Please submit to TJP:

1.    An Admissions Application form

2.    A non-refundable $50.00 application fee

3.    A Student Recommendation Form from the student’s current teacher

4.    A cumulative record of grades from the student’s most recent school

All students entering TJP will be required to spend a full day in the classroom of his/her current grade.  Upon receipt and processing of all documents, TJP will contact parents to set up the classroom visit.

Admissions Policy

In compliance with the Maryland State Department of Education’s requirement for age of eligibility for enrollment, all students must be 4 years old by September 1^st of the school year to be age eligible to enroll in the Pre-Kindergarten program at TJP.  

At least one Student Recommendation Form is required from the current teacher(s) of all prospective students. 

A cumulative record of grades from the student’s most recent school is required for all prospective students.

All students entering TJP will be required to spend a full day in the classroom of his/her current grade.  Additional diagnostic and/or placement testing may be required by TJP to be determined by the Administration on an as-needed basis. 

To ensure that students receive the appropriate level of individual attention, classes will be limited to 8 – 10 students per grade.
